NAIROBI, KENYA — The Kenya Meteorological Department (KMD) has issued a forecast predicting light showers across Nairobi and several other regions within the country over the next two days.
In its daily weather update released Wednesday, the KMD indicated that Nairobi County and its surrounding areas can expect light to moderate rainfall from Wednesday through Thursday morning.
The weather agency has issued a caution, advising residents to be mindful of potential storms accompanying the downpours in certain areas.

The Highlands East, encompassing counties such as Nyandarua, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang’a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, and Tharaka Nithi, can expect precipitation. Similarly, rainfall is likely in the South-Eastern Lowlands, including Kajiado, Kitui, Makueni, Machakos, Tana River, and Taita Taveta counties.
